Amy Adams Beauty Look at the 2014 Golden Globes

Amy Adams looked like an all american beauty when she accepted her award for Best actress in a motion picture, comedy or musical for her role in American Hustle, a film based on the Abscam operation of the late 1970's.

Amy portrays Sydney Prosser, a con artist that is forced by the FBI to set up an elaborate sting operation on corrupt politicians in the 1970's.  The hair and makeup in American Hustle movie is reflective of 70's fashion where big hair, plunging necklines and over the top makeup was on trend.

Amy's beauty look for the 2014 Golden Globes was inspired by Vogue Magazine cover veteran, Lauren Hutton, who appeared on 25 covers of Vogue Magazine between 1966 and 1975.  Amy's red carpet look was heavily influenced by Lauren Hutton's bronzed beauty look shown on the cover of the September issue in 1970.

As you can see, this look is designed to accentuate Amy's natural beauty with colors chosen to compliment her healthy skin and big blue eyes.

A red-based bronze/terracotta shade such as Woodstock by Mirabella Beauty compliments both blue and green eyes.

To further define the lashes opt for a plum liner instead of black for a softer look that brightens the eye color.  Suggested product, Prune eye definer by Mirabella Beauty.

To create the look of sun-kissed skin I highly recommend Bronzed Mineral Powder by Mirabella Beauty.  Bronzed mineral powder utilizes a new technology out of Italy called Prismatech.   This eevolutionary texture combines the best features of cream, fluid and baked products into a long-wear, super soft powder that provides brighter, purer color.  Bronzed mineral powder can be layered on the skin without looking heavy or flat.  Bronzed should be applied to the areas of the face where the sun naturally hits: the temples, cheekbones, jawline and tip of the nose.

Bronzed mineral powder comes in three gorgeous shades: Tawny Warmth (the lightest), Baked Sand (middle) and Burnt Copper (darkest). (Pro tip: all three shades are beautiful on the eyes, especially to warm the crease of a dark smoky eye)  To perfect bronzer and eliminate any lines of demarcation, use a clean blending brush or duo-fiber brush to blend until natural looking results are achieved.

To create a natural healthy glow on the apples of Amy's cheeks, apply the peach shade in Mirabella Beauty's Glowing Blush duo to the apples of the cheeks.  Finish the look with a gel based mascara such as Lash Essential, my "go to" mascara for women with thin lashes and a sheer neutral peach lip color or gloss.

Love and peace to all!
