2012 proved to be an exciting year in the beauty industry with some of the biggest trends being ombre hair, ombre lips and ombre nails, oxblood or crimson colored lips, unconventional eyeliner, smoky eye looks with more vibrant colors, tangerine lips and of course, the biggest trend of the year, nail art.  2012 was all about showing personality with unique polish trends and designs as well as shape and length as demonstrated by the stiletto nail trend.  (definitely not a trend I will be trying, how about you?)

Although orange is my favorite color, it's time to say goodbye and welcome the year's hottest shade Emerald Green which is Pantone's color of the for 2013.

"Lively. Radiant. Lush… A color of elegance and beauty                                                 that enhances our sense of well-being, balance and harmony."

Pantone's description (above) for the color emerald is so beautiful that I am already inspired and can't wait to find new ways to include in my beauty and style looks in 2013!
